~PART TWO~

Afternoon Classes and Lab Work

1:00 PM
Afternoons often consist of labs or hands-on classes for many programs, especially for science, technology, and health students. TRU prides itself on its interactive and practical approach to education, giving students the chance to gain real-world experience right in the classroom.

3:00 PM
With classes winding down, some students head to the Gym for a workout, while others may attend a study group or work on a project. For students in co-op programs, afternoons can mean a shift at an internship or part-time job, often facilitated through the university’s strong co-op and career services program.

Evening Activities: Unwinding and Connecting

5:00 PM
After a long day, students often participate in social or recreational activities. TRU hosts various evening events, from movie nights to guest lectures and workshops, giving students opportunities to relax and connect. For students interested in sports, cheering on the TRU WolfPack teams or joining a rec league is a great way to show school spirit and stay active.

6:30 PM
Dinner can be a social affair with friends at the campus cafeteria or a nearby Kamloops restaurant. Off-campus dining options are plentiful, with downtown Kamloops offering a variety of eateries just a short drive or bus ride away.

Nighttime: Wrapping Up the Day

8:00 PM
Many students use the evening for study sessions, especially during midterms or finals. With the TRU Library open late, it’s a reliable study spot, offering both quiet areas and collaborative spaces. Others may work on projects in study groups or attend tutoring sessions through TRU’s Student Services.

10:30 PM
As the day winds down, students living on campus can head back to their dorms or apartments to relax. Catching up on a favourite show, calling family, or simply unwinding from a busy day, TRU students know the importance of balance and downtime.
